Justin Moose
Year Inducted: 2021
By the age of 13, Justin Moose was a standout, and would make the hour-long drive to Charlotte for elite soccer. Soon Justin was scouted and identified as one of the country’s top players and quickly was called into the US U-14 National Team. He was a 3-time All-State player at Statesville High School under Head Coach Rick Morrison and was named the 7th best high school player in the country by Soccer America.
With his choice of any school in the country, Justin chose Wake Forest University. He quickly established himself as one of the top players in the ACC, known as the best college soccer conference in the country. Moose was ACC Rookie of the Year, 3-time First Team All-ACC and a 2-time First Team All-America. He set the Wake Forest record for 29 career assists. During his time at Wake Forest, he also played for the US U-20 National team and in the USL Premier Development League with the Carolina Dynamo, earning Rookie of the Year honors. Wake Head Coach Jay Vidovich once said, “He's probably one of the most exciting one-on-one players we've ever had in the history of the program.”
Upon graduation, Moose was selected in the first round of the MLS SuperDraft with the 7th pick by DC United. His professional career continued and would span three continents with the USL’s Vancouver Whitecaps and Wilmington Hammerheads in North America, Sriracha FC in the Thai Premier League in Asia and HJK, Finland’s top team, and another Finnish top-league team SJK in Europe.
