Jesse Jackson

Jesse Jackson played football at Wake Forest College and graduated in 1963. He got his master’s from Appalachian State University in 1967. Jackson was a multi-sport coach at Statesville High School. He coached wrestling, track, and football. Jackson was named Coach of the Year twelve times for Track within the Western Piedmont Conference and the Foothills Athletic Conference. Jackson was recognized in 1995 for over 30 years of coaching by the Foothills Athletic Conference. Jackson is still to this day involved with athletics at Statesville High School.
