Jerry Fox

Jerry Fox was a basketball and baseball player at Cool Springs High School. He started all four years for both sports. He also played football in 1952-1953 before program was dropped in 1954.
He played American Legion baseball before going onto Lenoir-Rhyne College to play baseball. He finished with a .361 batting average for his career with 20 home runs and 83 RBI’s. He was inducted in to the Lenoir-Rhyne Sports Hall of Fame in 2004.
He played for the Statesville Owls and batted .318, had 23 doubles, 8 triples and 2 home runs.
Jerry played fast pitch softball as well and were State Championship Runner-Up in 1964.
Jerry is married to Janet Fox since 1960 with 3 children and 4 grandchildren.
