Amy Cartner Rogers

Amy Cartner Rogers is one of the most accomplished student-athletes to ever graduate from North Iredell High School. Rogers joined four underclass teammates to win the first State Girls Basketball Championship for the Lady Raiders in 1984. That year, Cartner was named North Carolina Girls Basketball Player of the Year by the Associated Press and Conference Player of the Year. She was also named to the West squad in the annual East-West All-Star Classic. She was also on the volleyball, track and softball teams. Cartner finished her impressive time at North as Valedictorian for the Class of 1984.
Cartner’s skills and accomplishments earned her a scholarship to Wake Forest University. She was a successful player for the Lady Deacs and was a GTE Academic All-America-Southeast selection. Cartner’s senior year Lady Deacs went to the first ever NCAA Tournament appearance in school history, eventually eliminated by Pat Summit’s Tennessee squad. She currently resides in Isle of Palms, SC, where she and her husband own a successful real estate company.
